Marco Giorgetti appointed commissioner of Fondazione Toscana Spettacolo

Marco Giorgetti has been appointed as the new commissioner of the Fondazione Toscana Spettacolo by Eugenio Giani, the President of the Tuscany region.

Giorgetti, who has served as the director of the Teatro Stabile di Catania since September 2025, brings extensive experience in the performing arts sector. His previous roles include serving as the general manager of the Teatro della Toscana and director of the Teatro della Pergola in Florence.

President Giani described the appointment as a transitional role. The regional government is currently evaluating the possibility of transforming the Fondazione Toscana Spettacolo into a regional agency, a move that requires careful assessment of how it might affect relationships with local municipalities and the ministry.
