Marco Manzo exhibition opens in Rome

The solo exhibition ‘Marco Manzo. Esistere è cambiare’ is opening at the Hilton Rome Eur La Lama from October 22 to December 1, 2026. Curated by the Rome-based company Start, the exhibition features the work of international artist Marco Manzo, whose pieces have been included in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

The showcase centers on Manzo’s artistic plates, which overlay tattoo motifs onto human skeletal imagery, effectively transforming radiographs into visual research surfaces. These works, which were part of the 18th Venice Architecture Biennale, will be displayed on a lightboard to create infinite compositions.

In addition to the plates, the exhibition includes sculptures made of aluminum, bronze, terracotta, and marble, all engraved with tattoo-inspired designs. For the first time in Rome, the display will also feature AI-generated video art that depicts the plates transforming into moving architectural structures, creating a dialogue between body, sculpture, architecture, and technology.
