Marco Materazzi claims Inter Milan missed out on two Scudetti

Former defender Marco Materazzi believes Inter Milan should have secured more Serie A titles given the strength of the squad they have assembled. Speaking at the Festival dello Sport in Trento, Materazzi suggested that the club has likely ‘left two Scudetti on the road’ over the last four or five years.

Reflecting on past successes, Materazzi noted the importance of the Club World Cup in helping players move past the disappointment of the Champions League final. He also praised Cristian Chivu for his empathy and intelligence during his time with the team.

Regarding the current season, Materazzi expressed a need for greater concentration. He noted that while Inter has shown strength by recovering from two-goal deficits in three consecutive league matches, the team must focus on conceding fewer goals to ensure consistent victories.
