Marco Pocci wins 2026 Italian RS21 Cup title

Marco Pocci, skipper and president of the RS21 class, has secured the 2026 Italian RS21 Cup title. Competing with the boat Les Freaks, representing the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club, Pocci concluded the season with a victory in the final stage (Act 5) held in Scarlino.

The championship consisted of eleven races in the Gulf of Follonica, characterized by varying wind conditions. Les Freaks finished the season with 46 points, bolstered by victories in the sixth and ninth races. This achievement follows Pocci’s 2025 world title win in Porto Rotondo.

Andrea Musone, representing Club Nautico Rimini on the boat Freccia Blu, finished in second place with 59 points, earning the silver medal in the Italian Open Championship. Igor Rytov, representing Neutral Individual Athletes on Bogatyrs, took third place after two consecutive race wins, finishing on equal points with Melanie Höveler of Germany.
