Marco Rubio to visit Athens in early October

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is expected to visit Athens during the first ten days of October. While the exact date has not been finalized, the visit is planned to include officials from the State Department and two U.S. Department of Homeland Security undersecretaries.

The primary agenda for the discussions includes managing irregular migration, border protection, combating drug trafficking, and strengthening security controls at Greek airports.

In preparation for these high-level talks, members of the Greek Anti-Terrorism Unit recently met with American counterparts to facilitate the immediate exchange of information regarding individuals suspected of terrorist activities traveling toward the United States.
