Marcopo Launches New Torino Buses in Araraquara and Introduces Recycled‑PET Seat Fabric

Paraty Mobilidade in Araraquara, Brazil, has replaced its entire urban bus fleet with seven new Marcopolo Torino models. The buses feature air‑conditioning, USB charging ports, 84‑passenger capacity and accessibility provisions. Wagner Tillmann, Marcopolo’s São Paulo commercial manager, said the rollout marks a milestone for local public transport.

Marcopo also announced that its bus seat upholstery will be made from 100 % recycled PET fabric developed with DINI Têxtil. Ricardo Portolan, Marcopolo’s sales and marketing director, highlighted that the material cuts CO₂ emissions by up to 60 % compared with virgin polyester and reduces water consumption, supporting a circular‑economy approach.
