Marcopolo expands specialized bus offerings in Brazil and Paraguay

Marcopolo has introduced new specialized bus models designed for different regional market needs. In Brazil, the company partnered with Mercedes-Benz to launch the Ideale 800 Agrotech. Built on the Mercedes-Benz OF 1619 Euro VI chassis, this model is specifically engineered for the agribusiness, cellulose, and mining sectors to navigate unpaved and irregular terrain. The vehicle features reinforced bodywork, protected fuel tanks, and a high-capacity air conditioning system capable of operating in temperatures up to 55 °C.

In Paraguay, Marcopolo delivered six Viaggio G8 1050 front-engine intercity buses to the operator Guaireña. These vehicles are the first in the Paraguayan market to comply with the ECE R66. 02 international safety standard for rollover protection. The buses include advanced structural safety rings, passenger amenities such as USB ports and Wi-Fi, and an air-conditioning system designed with water-reuse capabilities.
