Marcopolo returns to European market with Volvo partnership

Brazilian manufacturer Marcopolo has returned to the European coach market through a strategic partnership with Volvo Buses. The collaboration features the Paradiso G8 body mounted on the Volvo B13R chassis, which is produced in Sweden.

Presented in Madrid, the production version of the vehicle is designed for long-distance and tourism operations in Southern Europe. The model has already secured orders in France, Italy, and Portugal, with initial deliveries scheduled for early 2027. To meet local standards, the European version includes structural weight reductions, aerodynamic adjustments for improved fuel efficiency, and components from European suppliers.

This expansion builds on Marcopolo's long-standing global presence. Founded in 1949 in Caxias do Sul, Brazil, the company has grown from a small workshop into a global leader with manufacturing units across five continents and vehicles operating in more than 140 countries.
