Singer Marcos Hasselmann and pianist/arranger Cristovão Bastos are set to debut the “American Songbook” show at the Soberano Jazz Club in Itaipava on Saturday, October 17, at 9:00 PM. The performance marks the beginning of a season dedicated to the Great American Songbook, featuring works by composers such as George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, and Jerome Kern.

The musical trio includes bassist Jorge Helder and drummer Jurim Moreira. The project was conceived by maestro Sergio Saraceni, a composer and producer with over 40 years of experience who has collaborated with Antonio Carlos Jobim.

The repertoire aims to revisit timeless American classics through arrangements that blend jazz traditions with Brazilian musical influences.
