Marcos Leonardo faces harsh criticism from analysts

Football analysts Kenneth Perez and Karim El Ahmadi have expressed significant criticism regarding Ajax striker Marcos Leonardo following his performance in a match against FC Groningen.

Perez criticized Leonardo’s basic technique, describing it as “distressing” and noting that the Brazilian failed to live up to his high transfer price. He specifically pointed out errors in ball control and slow execution. While Leonardo earned a penalty in the first half, the responsibility for the kick was given to captain Davy Klaassen, who missed it.

El Ahmadi also raised concerns, suggesting that if hard work is the only positive attribute a striker can offer in a 5-2 victory, it is a negative sign. He described Leonardo’s ball control and first touches as “dramatic.”
