Marcus Grönholm expresses interest in WRC Team Principal role

Two-time World Rally Champion Marcus Grönholm has expressed interest in potentially returning to the World Rally Championship (WRC) in a management capacity. Speaking on the ‘WRC Backstories’ podcast, the Finnish driver indicated that he would consider a role as a Team Principal if the right opportunity were presented, despite noting the potential challenges of travel.

Grönholm, who concluded his full WRC career in 2007, has previous experience in team management through his involvement in Rallycross, where he focused on budget management and securing sponsorships.

In addition to professional management roles, Grönholm remains focused on the career of his son, Niclas Grönholm. The pair expressed a shared ambition to return to competitive Rallycross should a World Rallycross Championship return to the racing calendar.
