Marcus King and ERNEST release new collaboration ‘Blue’

Musician Marcus King has released a new song titled ‘Blue’, a collaboration with singer-songwriter ERNEST released via American Recordings/Republic Records. The track is a country-soul piece centered on the theme of heartbreak and the aftermath of a breakup.

Originally written by ERNEST and Jacob Durett in 2018, the song remained unreleased on ERNEST’s own projects until King expressed interest in recording it. The recording process involved King and ERNEST singing together in a Nashville studio, with additional vocal contributions from Briley.

The release follows the May 2026 deluxe edition of King’s album, Darling Blue. King, a South Carolina native based in Nashville, is currently continuing the Darling Blue Tour through the end of 2026, with scheduled appearances including Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival.
