Washington Commanders upset Seattle Seahawks 33-31

The Washington Commanders secured a 33-31 upset victory over the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks, snapping Seattle’s 12-game winning streak. Backup quarterback Marcus Mariota started in place of Jayden Daniels, who is sidelined with a dislocated left elbow. Mariota completed 19 of 31 passes for 183 yards and three touchdowns.

The victory was bolstered by a 50-yard interception return for a touchdown by linebacker Kain Medrano. Despite the loss, Seattle's Sam Darnold recorded 379 passing yards and four touchdowns in his return from injury, while Jaxon Smith-Njigba contributed 128 receiving yards and two scores.

Other notable NFL action included the Baltimore Ravens defeating the Dallas Cowboys 34-31 in Rio de Janeiro via a 56-yard field goal by Tyler Loop. In the AFC North, the Pittsburgh Steelers edged the Cincinnati Bengals 30-27, and the Cleveland Browns overcame the Carolina Panthers 21-18.
