Marcus Rashford's Barcelona Move Uncertain as Clubs Negotiate Price

England forward Marcus Rashford spent the 2025/26 season on loan at FC Barcelona, scoring 14 goals and providing 14 assists. Barcelona hold an option to purchase him for £26 million until the June 15 deadline, but reports indicate the club is only willing to pay about £13 million. Manchester United have rejected the reduced price and are unlikely to release Rashford for less than the full clause.

With Barcelona’s offer stalled, several Premier League sides – including Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Chelsea – have been linked to the player. Bayern Munich and other European clubs have also shown interest. Barcelona are focusing on other signings such as Anthony Gordon and potentially Bernardo Silva, which may further affect Rashford’s future.

If a deal is not reached by the deadline, Rashford could return to Manchester United for pre‑season training, or a new loan arrangement might be negotiated. The ongoing negotiations are a key storyline ahead of the summer transfer window.
