Marcus Rashford returns to Manchester United; Hansi Flick regrets Barcelona loss

Marcus Rashford, after a successful loan spell at FC Barcelona, is set to rejoin Manchester United for the start of the new Premier League season. Barcelona chose not to keep the England international despite his strong performances.

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick said parting with Rashford is difficult, praising his talent and character, and noting the team will feel his absence. United are preparing for his return in pre‑season training at Carrington in early August, with his first match expected against Hull City on 22 August.

United may look to sell Rashford for around €40 million but have ruled out selling to a direct English rival. The club is also focusing on the arrival of young English striker Anthony Gordon, who Flick welcomed.
