Marcus Rashford's Future Uncertain as Barcelona, Aston Villa and Arsenal Weigh Options

Marcus Rashford spent the 2025‑26 season on loan at Barcelona, where he played 49 games, scored 14 goals and provided 14 assists. The Catalan club holds an option to sign him permanently for £26 million, but reports say Barcelona are unwilling to meet the fee and United are angry about the stance.

Manchester United have indicated they prefer to offload the forward. Rashford could return to Aston Villa, where he had a short loan spell, or move to another Premier League side. Arsenal have been mentioned as a potential destination, with former United midfielder Paul Scholes saying a transfer to Arsenal would be "a great move for both parties" and doubting United would want Rashford back. Tottenham and Newcastle have also shown interest.

Rashford remains in the England squad for the upcoming World Cup and is expected to rejoin United for pre‑season before any permanent move is finalized.
