Marcus Thuram mediates dispute between Mbappé and Dembélé

Reports indicate that Marcus Thuram intervened to mediate a disagreement between France teammates Kylian Mbappé and Ousmane Dembélé following comments regarding the Ballon d'Or.

The friction reportedly stemmed from an interview in which Mbappé described Dembélé as a talented player who had to overcome injuries, while contrasting it with his own perception as being the ‘chosen one’ from a young age. Dembélé responded by emphasizing his hard work and stating he had never been the ‘chosen one.’

Mbappé has since dismissed claims of a rift, stating that he has spoken with Dembélé and that there is no tension between them. He described Dembélé as a friend and suggested the controversy was merely a topic for debate during the international selection period.
