MarcyPen Capital Partners nears deal for 50% stake in Fenty Beauty

MarcyPen Capital Partners, an investment firm co-founded by Jay-Z, is reportedly nearing a deal to acquire a 50 percent stake in Fenty Beauty from the luxury conglomerate LVMH. According to reports from Puck, the transaction could be finalized within the next three to four weeks, though financial terms have not been disclosed.

MarcyPen was formed in 2024 through the merger of Marcy Venture Partners and Pendulum Opportunities. The firm maintains existing ties to Rihanna’s business portfolio, having previously invested in her Savage X Fenty lingerie brand in 2019 and 2022. If the deal is completed, Rihanna and MarcyPen would each hold a 50 percent ownership stake in the cosmetics company.

Fenty Beauty was launched in 2017 as a partnership between Rihanna and LVMH-owned Kendo Brands. The brand gained significant industry influence through its emphasis on inclusivity, notably through its initial launch of 40 foundation shades. LVMH had previously explored selling its stake in the brand.
