Mardin Child Dies After Being Left in Hot Car

A four‑year‑old boy, Muhammed Aras Temel, entered an open vehicle in the village of Ekinciler, Mazıdağı district of Mardin, Turkey. The car door closed, trapping him inside where he was exposed to the hot sun for an extended period.

He was rescued by his family and taken first to Mazıdağı State Hospital, then transferred to Mardin Education and Research Hospital's intensive care unit. Despite medical intervention, he died after two days of treatment. Local authorities have opened an investigation and issued warnings that children must never be left unattended in vehicles, especially in high temperatures.
