Mardin hosts final ceremony for children's prayer awareness program

The Peygamber Sevdalıları Mardin Derneği concluded its ‘2026 Hayat Namazla Güzeldir’ program in the Artuklu district of Mardin. The initiative, designed to increase children's devotion to and awareness of prayer, culminated in a final event held at the Şakir Nuhoğlu Mosque complex.

The program began with a procession from 15 Temmuz Park to the mosque, where participating children, wearing prayer caps and carrying prayer rugs, performed congregational prayers. The event featured Quranic recitations, presentations of verses and hadiths in three languages, musical performances, and poetry.

During the ceremony, Süleyman Tuna addressed the participants and parents, emphasizing the spiritual importance of prayer. He compared the role of prayer in a Muslim's life to the roots of a tree, stating that without it, one would wither like a tree severed from its roots.
