Marek Ďaloga returns to Zvolen while Slovak prospects eye NHL debuts

Marek Ďaloga, captain of the Slovak national team and 2021 World Championship participant, has signed a return contract with HKM Zvolen in the Slovak Extraliga. He said he is “full of expectations” and looks forward to helping the club achieve its ambitions.

Meanwhile, several other Slovak players are close to breaking into the NHL. Forward Martin Chromiak topped the Ontario Reign AHL with 28 goals and 56 points and is being considered for a spot with the Los Angeles Kings. Forward Juraj Pekarčík recorded 35 points for the Springfield AHL and could earn a chance with the St. Louis Blues. Defenseman Jozef Viliam Kmec, a top performer for the Vegas Golden Knights’ AHL affiliate, is positioned as a potential call‑up if injuries arise on the Knights’ blue line.
