Lech Poznań takes Ekstraklasa lead after victory over Legia Warszawa

Lech Poznań has secured the top position in the Ekstraklasa standings following a 2-1 victory against Legia Warszawa. The win marks a historic milestone for the club, as the team has achieved its best-ever start to a league season, accumulating 28 points from 11 matches.

The match, held at Legia's home stadium, was decided in the closing stages by a goal from Luis Palma. Earlier, Yannick Agnero had put Lech ahead, but Legia managed to equalize through Bogdan Wjunnyk. Following the match, Lech captain Radosław Murawski criticized Legia for not watering the pitch, suggesting the decision was an attempt to hinder Lech's playing style.

With this result, Legia Warszawa's unbeaten streak in the league has come to an end. Lech Poznań now holds a five-point lead over Legia, though they have one game in hand.
