Marek Stokowski to meet readers in Elbląg

The Elbląg Library is hosting a meeting with author and publicist Marek Stokowski. Stokowski, who has long been associated with the Powiśle region and previously served as a curator at the Malbork Castle Museum, will discuss his latest novel, ‘Święty Leonard z pól’.

The novel, which received a Special Award from ‘Magazyn Literacki Książka’ in 2026 and was a finalist in the Władysław Reymont competition, follows a retired firefighter on a journey of self-discovery. The event aims to explore how the nature, history, and culture of the Powiśle area influence Stokowski’s literary work.
