Mareno di Piave restores historic church bell tower
The bell tower of the Archpriest Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Mareno di Piave has undergone restoration and safety upgrades. The project, totaling approximately 110,000 euros, focused on the conservative restoration of the bell chamber, the replacement and securing of the bell castle, and the restoration of the floor slab.
A private benefactor contributed 90,000 euros toward the works, while the parish covered the remaining costs, including the recasting of the main bell, which weighs 1,462 kilograms. The bell tower is a significant local symbol, having been rebuilt following damage sustained during the Austro-Hungarian retreat in 1918.
