Marex Group appoints John Pietrowicz as Board Chair

Marex Group Limited has announced a change in its board leadership. John Pietrowicz, a current board member and Chair of the Group’s Mergers and Acquisitions Committee, has succeeded Robert Pickering as Chair of the Board. Pietrowicz previously served as Chief Financial Officer of CME Group from 2014 to 2023.

Outgoing Chair Robert Pickering, who joined the board in 2021, noted his involvement in the company’s evolution from a private entity to a Nasdaq-listed business with a market capitalization exceeding $5 billion. Group CEO Ian Lowitt credited Pickering with guiding the firm through its IPO and subsequent growth.

Regarding market performance, Marex Group plc (NASDAQ: MRX) currently holds an average “Buy” recommendation from nine brokerages. The average 12-month price target among these analysts is $83.38. Recent analyst activity includes price target updates from Goldman Sachs, Jefferies Financial Group, and UBS Group.
