Marfina Bus vehicle fire in Valldoreix linked to maintenance concerns
A bus operated by Marfina Bus caught fire on Monday afternoon in Valldoreix, Spain. The vehicle, serving the L11 line, was transporting 15 passengers, including students from Institut Leonardo da Vinci and Liceu Politècnic, when the driver noticed smoke coming from the rear. All passengers were evacuated safely before the flames consumed the vehicle.
Representatives from the CGT workers' union at Marfina Bus have attributed the incident to a lack of proper vehicle maintenance, noting that the bus was old and that they had previously raised concerns regarding its condition. They have dismissed rumors that the fire was intentional. Additionally, the CUP political group has announced plans to file an urgent motion at the municipal council meeting this Friday to demand explanations and establish responsibility for the incident.
