Margarita: Car overturns on via Roma amid road safety concerns

A car overturned on via Roma in Margarita late Friday night, around 11:50 PM. The vehicle, traveling from Morozzo toward Cuneo, reportedly lost control while navigating a curve. Preliminary findings suggest the driver may have drifted due to fatigue, striking a fence and sidewalk before flipping over in the middle of the road.

No pedestrians were on the sidewalk at the time of the impact, which residents say prevented a potential tragedy. The incident has reignited local demands for improved road safety on this stretch of the provincial road. Residents report that this is the fourth accident in just over two months and claim they have been requesting safety measures for 30 years to address high vehicle speeds and a history of fatal accidents.
