Margarita Island residents report poisoning of over 20 pets

Residents of the Villa Esperanza community on Margarita Island have reported the deaths of more than 20 pets following the suspected distribution of toxic food. Witnesses claim that animals, including dogs and cats, exhibited severe symptoms such as convulsions and hemorrhaging shortly after consuming the contaminated food.

Community members have collected video evidence and other documentation, which has been submitted to the 12th Prosecutor's Office of the Ministerio Público in Nueva Esparta. Residents are calling for an investigation to identify those responsible and are demanding stricter penalties for animal cruelty and killing in Venezuela.
