Margarita Maza de Juárez high schools expand in Tlaxcala and Mexico State
New Margarita Maza de Juárez high school campuses are being established in Mexico to expand upper secondary education coverage. In Tlaxcala, two new campuses are being set up in Huamantla and San Pablo del Monte as part of a federal strategy involving an estimated 16 million peso investment. While permanent facilities are under construction, classes are currently being held in alternative classrooms. The initial enrollment stands at 74 students, with a projected capacity of up to 300 students per center.
In the State of Mexico, the Cuautitlán Izcalli City Council has unanimously approved the allocation of a 1,600-square-meter municipal plot for the construction of a new Margarita Maza National High School. The land will be donated to the Federal Government, pending authorization from the State of Mexico Legislature. The project aims to provide additional public high school infrastructure, though specific construction timelines and budgets for this site have not yet been finalized.
