Margot Robbie adopts husband's surname in business filings

Margot Robbie Tom Ackerley LuckyChap Entertainment name change Hollywood

Actress and producer Margot Robbie has officially adopted her husband’s surname, Tom Ackerley, in legal business filings. According to documents lodged with the United Kingdom’s Companies House regarding their production company, LuckyChap Entertainment, she is now listed as Margot Elise Ackerley.

The change comes approximately ten years after the couple married in a private ceremony in 2016. While the administrative update reflects her married name for business registrations, it is widely expected that she will continue to use her professional moniker, Margot Robbie, for her film credits and public brand.

Robbie and Ackerley co-founded LuckyChap Entertainment in 2014 alongside Sophia Kerr and Josey McNamara. The company has produced several high-profile projects, including ‘Barbie’, ‘Saltburn’, and ‘I, Tonya’. The couple welcomed their first child, a son, in October 2024.
