Mari and Mario Kajić Wed in Kreševo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Mari Kajić, born in Livno and raised in Germany, and Mario Kajić, born in Germany to Bosnian parents, married in the historic town of Kreševo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The couple first exchanged messages on 31 December 2024, met in person on 2 February 2025, and chose Kreševo—known for its Franciscan monastery and mining heritage—as the venue for their ceremony. The wedding was attended by family and friends, including the couple’s godparents Katja and Tomislav Vukoja. After the celebration, the newlyweds moved to Switzerland in April 2026.

The ceremony highlighted the couple’s connection to both their Bosnian roots and their German upbringing, reflecting the transnational ties of many members of the Bosnian diaspora.
