Mari Boya scores points at Madring Formula 2 sprint race

Spanish driver Mari Boya secured a points finish during the Formula 2 sprint race at the inaugural Madring circuit. Starting from 12th position following the withdrawal of Colton Herta, Boya executed a significant comeback, gaining three places on the opening lap. He successfully defended his position against championship contender Gabriel Mini in the closing laps to secure his result.

Ayumu Miyata claimed the first Formula 2 victory at the new Madrid track after taking the lead at the start. The race was marked by several incidents, including the first safety car deployment in the circuit's history following a collision involving Kush Maini and Nicolás Varrone. Other notable performances included Noél León, who fought for a podium position, and Nikola Tsolov, who faced challenges during the race.
