Mari Selvaraj film ‘Mahali’ begins production

Filming has officially commenced for the Tamil film ‘Mahali’, produced by Mari Selvaraj. The project features actor Amir in the lead role and is written and directed by S. B. Arvind, an associate director of Mari Selvaraj.

The film is being produced by Aingaaran International and Navvi Studios, led by K. Karunamoorthy, Divya Mari Selvaraj, and Mari Selvaraj. Described as a socially conscious narrative, the story aims to address significant societal issues through themes of human pain, boundaries, and deep social concern.

Promotional posters released for the film depict dark and intense imagery, including Amir walking amidst massive animal skeletons, suggesting themes of emptiness, destruction, and the harsh realities of nature and society. The cast includes Swasika, Anishma Anilkumar, Hariharan, Ashwin Ram, and Lenin Bharathi. Technical contributions include cinematography by Selvarathinam Pratheeban and music by Justin Prabhakaran.
