Mari to acquire ATG Entertainment from Providence Equity Partners
Mari, an events firm founded by Ari Emanuel, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire ATG Entertainment from Providence Equity Partners. While the companies have not disclosed the official transaction value, reports from the Financial Times suggest the deal could value ATG at approximately £4.5 billion ($6 billion).
ATG Entertainment operates roughly 70 venues globally, with a significant presence in the United Kingdom and the United States. Its portfolio includes major West End locations such as the Lyceum and Savoy theatres, as well as Broadway venues like the Lyric. The company has shown recent financial growth, reporting a nearly 5% increase in revenue to £924 million for the year ending March 2025.
Under the terms of the agreement, ATG is expected to continue operating under its existing brand and leadership. Mari, which is backed by Apollo Global Management and RedBird Capital Partners, aims to act as a long-term custodian of the venues, focusing on preservation and modernization.
