Maria Antona transitions from entertainment to news on Mega
Television presenter Maria Antona is transitioning from entertainment to news broadcasting. She will join the weekend morning news program on Mega, working alongside Zisis Mousios and Vasilis Tsekoura.
In a recent interview, Antona shared that her partner, Giorgos Liagas, expressed initial surprise at her decision to move into news. However, he ultimately supported the move, noting that the opportunity to transition from entertainment to information is rare and a significant professional milestone.
Despite the change in her professional focus, Antona's personal life remains stable. She and Liagas have been living together in the southern suburbs since the summer of 2024. While Antona handles weekend news on Mega, Liagas continues his weekday morning program on ANT1.
