Greek presenter Maria Bakodimou has addressed sexist and ageist comments directed at her on social media. In a video posted on October 12, she spoke out against the ageism women face, noting that she and many younger women have been labeled with derogatory terms regarding their age.

Bakodimou criticized the double standard between genders, stating that while gray hair may add charm to men, women are often pressured to hide their age as if their value depends on appearing youthful. She emphasized that women should not have to apologize for aging and maintain the right to love, create, and live as they choose regardless of their years.
