Maria Ciobanu celebrates 89th birthday

On her 89th birthday, folk music artist Maria Ciobanu has been highlighted in discussions regarding her past relationship with the late Ion Dolănescu.

Dragoș Dolănescu, son of the late singer, shared insights into his father's personal life, describing Ciobanu as a great passion of his father's youth. He noted that while the relationship with Ciobanu was intense and resulted in a child, his father also shared a deep, mature love with Margarita Valenciano. Dragoș Dolănescu also refuted rumors of rivalry between the two women, noting that Ciobanu had performed noble gestures, such as visiting Margarita at a care home to bring baby clothes.
