Maria Ekmektsioglou discusses faith and family in recent interview

In a comprehensive interview with Lipton magazine, chef Maria Ekmektsioglou discussed the central role of faith and family in her life. She described her belief in God as her greatest support, stating, "First it is God and then my sons. These are the most important things in my life."

Ekmektsioglou recounted a recent trip to Symi where unforeseen circumstances—including a lack of transportation and rough seas during a boat trip toward Rhodes—led her to visit the Panormitis Monastery. She interpreted these events as a spiritual sign to visit the site.

She also opened up about personal hardships, noting that her faith helped her navigate the consecutive losses of her brother and her mother.
