Maria Elisabetta Raggi, a prominent biologist and researcher, has passed away at the age of 78. She was a well-known figure in the Erba and Lecco regions due to her extensive professional work in scientific research and her dedication to social and political causes.
Raggi served as a manager for the Clinical Pathology, Cytogenetics, and Molecular Biology laboratory at the Istituto Scientifico Medea – La Nostra Famiglia in Bosisio Parini. Her research focused primarily on genetics and molecular biology, specifically regarding neurodevelopmental disorders.
Beyond her scientific career, she was active in public life, having served as a city councilor in Bellagio and as president of the Lions Club Lombardia Triangolo Lariano. She also supported regional political campaigns, utilizing her four decades of experience in the healthcare sector.
