Maria Karystianou addresses economic concerns and political alliances
Maria Karystianou, leader of the ‘Hope for Democracy’ movement, has conducted a two-day tour in Heraklion to address local concerns. During her visit, she met with citizens and officials at the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce to discuss the cost of living, energy costs, and economic justice. Karystianou warned that households and businesses face a difficult winter due to rising expenses.
Separately, the movement has issued a sharp political critique following reports of a meeting at the Athens Club held under the auspices of the Israel Allies Foundation. The movement questioned the nature of the gathering, which reportedly included various political figures from different backgrounds, such as Adonis Georgiadis, Antonis Samaras, and Nikki Kerameus. Karystianou’s movement suggested the meeting might indicate political collusion or the preparation of a coalition behind closed doors.
