Maria Karystianou criticizes polls and political divides at Thessaloniki Fair

Maria Karystianou, president of the movement ‘Elpida gia ti Dimokratia’ (Hope for Democracy), expressed skepticism regarding recent political polls during the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair. Karystianou questioned the reliability of recent findings, citing small sample sizes and suggesting that the phrasing of questions can influence specific outcomes.

She stated that the movement’s objective extends beyond merely entering Parliament, aiming instead to use parliamentary presence to drive significant national changes. Karystianou described the traditional left-right political divide as outdated, noting that the movement brings together citizens from various political backgrounds united by shared ideals regarding independent justice, public health, and education.

Additionally, Karystianou criticized the setup of a stage for an Antonis Remeus concert in front of the Alexander the Great monument in Thessaloniki, characterizing the act as disrespectful to historical monuments.
