Maria Martins takes third in scratch race at GP TUFO in Czech Republic
Portuguese track cyclists Maria Martins and Daniela Campos are competing in the GP TUFO and the 7th Prostějov-Memorial Otmara Malečka in Prostějov, Czech Republic. The events serve as crucial opportunities for the athletes to secure points for the UCI track ranking.
In the GP TUFO (UCI C2 class), Maria Martins secured third place in the scratch race, finishing behind Denmark’s Amalie Dideriksen and Spain’s Eva Anguela. In the elimination race, Martins finished 11th, while Daniela Campos finished 14th. Campos’s participation marks her return to competition following an injury sustained in June.
The competition continues with the UCI C1 class event, where both athletes will participate in the Omnium, including the scratch, tempo, elimination, and points races.
