Maria Rosaria Boccia files complaint alleging phone spying

Maria Rosaria Boccia, through her lawyers Francesco Di Deco and Francesco Petruzzi, has filed a complaint with the Torre Annunziata Prosecutor's Office alleging that her mobile phone and connected devices may have been tampered with or remotely compromised.

The complaint requests an investigation into whether malicious software was used to spy on her or intercept communications. The legal team cited malfunctions in her device, specifically noting an inability to receive certain calls, including those from journalist Carlo Tarallo. Both Boccia and Tarallo are currently defendants in a separate criminal proceeding in Rome involving allegations of unlawful interference brought by former Culture Minister Gennaro Sangiuliano and his wife.

The defense has submitted WhatsApp chat screenshots and documents from the Rome proceedings to support the claim that her communications may be subject to unauthorized interception or interruption.
