Maria Sakkari donates 8,000 euros to child battling leukemia

Greek tennis champion Maria Sakkari has made a private donation of 8,000 euros to support a young boy named Nikola, who is battling leukemia. The donation was intended to cover the remaining funds needed for his medical expenses.

According to the organization ‘Paidiki Chara’, Sakkari acted quietly without seeking publicity or media attention. The organization announced that Nikola’s financial needs have now been fully met following a wave of support from various donors, ranging from small individual contributions to larger sums.

Nikola is currently awaiting test results to determine if he can proceed with a scheduled transplant on September 7.
