Greek tennis player Maria Sakkari has made a quiet donation of 8,000 euros to support a young boy named Nikola, who is battling leukemia. The donation, revealed by the organization ‘Paidiki Chara’, was intended to cover the remaining funds needed for the child’s upcoming bone marrow transplant.

Following her second-round exit in Cincinnati against Iga Swiatek, she has moved down one position to 33rd in the world rankings with 1,415 points.
