Maria Sur and Theo Haraldsson reported for Melodifestivalen 2027

Maria Sur and Theo Haraldsson are reportedly among the artists competing in Melodifestivalen 2027, Sweden’s selection process for the Eurovision Song Contest. Both artists have previously reached the Melodifestivalen finals on two occasions.

Theo Haraldsson, who previously performed under the stage name ‘Theoz’, will compete using his new name. Maria Sur, who has previously finished fifth and ninth in the competition, is expected to perform an entry that serves as a tribute to her home country, Ukraine.

Swedish broadcaster SVT received a record-breaking 4,077 song submissions for the 2027 edition. The competition is scheduled to begin on February 6, 2027, with Björn Kjellman and Oscar Zia serving as hosts. The winner will represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest in Burgas, Bulgaria.
