Maria Vlassopoulou joins Hellas Verona Women

Greek midfielder Maria Vlassopoulou (born 8 November 2001) has signed a contract with Hellas Verona Women until 30 June 2027. The 2001‑born player began her career in the Greek top division, moved to Italy in 2022 with Crotone (Serie C), then played for Matera, Real Meda and most recently Arezzo in Serie B, where she recorded 13 goals and 23 assists.

Vlassopoulou has represented Greece at the U16, U17, U19 levels and captained the youth sides. In May 2026 she received her first senior national team call‑up, debuting in a friendly against Moldova. Hellas Verona Women welcomed her as a new central midfielder, expecting her to contribute to the club’s ambitions in the Italian women’s league.
