Maria Vorontsova advocates for treating aging as a disease

Maria Vorontsova, head of the Medical Research and Educational Institute at Moscow State University, recently spoke at a Skolkovo business school conference regarding the necessity of combating aging. Vorontsova proposed that aging should no longer be viewed as a normal biological process but should instead be classified as a disease to facilitate the official development of anti-aging medications.

During her presentation, she suggested that while individuals should aim to reach a natural biological capacity of 85 to 90 years through childhood health management, this should only be considered the first stage of life. She argued that humanity should attempt to ‘outsmart God or nature’ by using specific preparations to extend human longevity beyond that point.
