Mariachi Sol de México to perform in Quintana Roo to fund international festival

The Mariachi Sol de México, directed by José Hernández, has announced upcoming performances in Quintana Roo as part of the ‘Embajadores del Mariachi Tour Sureste’. The group will perform on September 26 at the Teatro de la Ciudad in Playa del Carmen and on September 27 at the Teatro de la Ciudad in Cancún.

In collaboration with Mariachi Santana and Mariachi Real de Lujo, the proceeds from these concerts will be directed toward a fund to finance the second International Mariachi Festival of Quintana Roo. Scheduled for April 2027 to coincide with Cancun’s anniversary celebrations, the three-day festival expects to host between 20 and 22 groups from the United States, Colombia, and various Mexican states.
