Mariacristina Tomaselli appointed head of Ragusa Psychology Service
The ASP of Ragusa has appointed Dr. Mariacristina Tomaselli to a five-year term as the director of the U.O.C. Psychology Service. The appointment follows a public selection process involving qualifications and interviews.
Dr. Tomaselli holds a degree in Psychology from the Catholic University of Milan, with specializations in Life Cycle Psychology from the University of Milano-Bicocca and psychoanalytic psychotherapy from the Jacques Lacan Institute in Catania. Her professional background includes clinical training complemented by an executive master's in management.
Throughout her career, she has focused on therapeutic and rehabilitative interventions for adult and minor mental health. Her expertise includes treating severe patients, penitentiary psychology, criminal execution, and suicide risk prevention. She has also served as a coordinator for the ‘Salpiamo Project’ to enhance mental health services and has been involved in multidisciplinary groups addressing nutrition and eating disorders.
